Any group of fish that stay together for social reasons is said to be shoaling, and if the shoal is swimming in the same direction together, it is schooling
One of the ocean’s greatest anathema’s is the ability to appear vastly abundant despite the majority of scientific evidence pointing in directly the opposite way. Its too easy to point at things like this beautiful shoal of fish and say its all alright, rather than taking some responsibility. Every small piece adds up, be conscious in your choices, take only what you need and never leave anything behind.
Maybe its time for us to stop shoaling and start schooling.

PS: I hate being preachy but it gives me the shits to see some muppet dumping their Maccas trash over the back of the Bower point earlier this week.
