It is often our curiosity that drives us to seek adventure below the waves surface. Alien as we are, most animals treat us with either the indifference of those that are secure in their position at the top of the food table or with the nervous caution of being a potential meal.
So its always with great amusement when a creature is just as curious about us, as we are of them. This batfish in Fiji was certainly not shy in coming forward. Swimming around and then darting right up to the camera and pausing, pausing in the same manner a person would nonchalantly admire a painting in a famous french gallery – a kind of, its ok but is it really art if it looks like a five year old did it and if a five year old did do it, are they also an artist? type of way. Mr Curious indeed.
Interesting Fact about batfish
